Introduction
Premature ejaculation (PE) is a common sexual health condition that affects millions of men worldwide. It can result in distress and dissatisfaction for both the individual and their partner. The treatment options for PE include traditional treatments like behavioral therapy, counseling, and psychotherapy. However, the impact of PE on men's quality of life and self-perceived sexual satisfaction is still a matter of debate. This study aims to evaluate the impact of Duralast 30mg tablet on men's quality of life (QOL) and self-perceived sexual satisfaction in a clinical sample of men with PE.
To evaluate the impact of Duralast 30mg tablet on men's QOL and self-perceived sexual satisfaction, a single-center, parallel-group, flexible-dose, open-label, single-blinded study was conducted in two European-based centers in Germany, including Gdünrium, Hamburg, and Graz, in order to assess the effect of this medication on men's QOL, sexual satisfaction, and self-perceived sexual satisfaction.
This study included 998 men aged between 18 to 59 years with PE who received Duralast 30mg tablet. The primary outcome was the percentage of successful intercourse attempts in the 4-week period before treatment with Duralast 30mg tablet. Additionally, the secondary outcomes were the mean QOL (SD) and self-perceived sexual satisfaction (SD) at each study point after Duralast 30mg tablet administration, the mean percentage of successful intercourse attempts in the 4-week period before treatment with Duralast 30mg tablet, and the mean percentage of successful intercourse attempts in the 4-week period before treatment with Duralast 30mg tablet. Statistical evaluations were performed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software program (IBM Corp, Armonk, NY, USA). The study protocol was approved by the Ethical Review Board of the Medical Center of the Medical University of Greif-de-Rosen, Germany. The study was carried out in accordance with the approved guidelines for the care and use of men with PE and its approved indications.
